Background of Study in Research Gap case :

Translation has always been a central part of communication. Many people think that translation is only about changing words or texts from one language into another one. This concept is not totally wrong. Translation deals with languages, words or texts and changing the one language into other language. People may understand clearly and deeply about what and how translation is by learning the

theory of translation.

The basic concept of translation deals with changing the form of source language (SL) into target language (TL) which involves a process. Larson (1984) defined that translation process is about transferring the meaning of source language into the target language. The process of translation can be done by going from the form of the first language to the form of a second language by way of

semantic structure. According to him, the form refers to the actual words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, etc. (surface structure of a language). The meaning of source language (SL) is then transferred into target language (TL) in the most appropriate form according to the lexical and grammatical structure and primarily acceptable by the readers of target language (TL).

How the accuracy of noun phrase translation on Maleficent movie is, how the acceptability of the translator in translating on Maleficent movie is, and how the readibility of the translator in translating Maleficent movie is so important too in make the quality of the translation. To produce a good quality in translation, there are three factors which influence the translation quality consisting of accuracy, acceptability, and readability.

The researcher using this case because the researcher found some thesises that analyzed by the other researcher so there is a research gapthat can made by the researcher. The A research found about Subtitling strategyand translation techniques  and research B the researcher found quality and technique and the last research ( reserach C ), the researcher found method and quality in translation. So, there is a gap that we cannot found in these thesises. The reserach gap is about method and Tachniques.
